Change a pending proforma invoice

Reviewed on 2 min read proforma invoices

Renewal proforma invoices are generated before the due date so the payment can be made. Check the document's date and the items it includes; the options for changing it depend on its status.

If you have a pending proforma invoice for services you do not want to renew, you can cancel the proforma invoice. This means the renewal of the services on it will be cancelled and they will be left to expire and be deleted as a result.

If, instead, the proforma invoice includes several services, some you want to renew and others you do not, cancel the renewal from each service's page. Our system will then remove the service from the pending proforma invoice and update the total due.

Finally, if you want to change the renewal interval shown on the payment, you can change each service's billing interval from its page. The system will recalculate the proforma invoice while it can still be changed.

These operations may be blocked if a direct debit charge or another payment process is already under way. In that case, do not generate another proforma invoice or make a second payment; check the debit or contact us.

After a change, open the proforma invoice again and check the items, intervals, due date and final amount before paying. Download the PDF again if you kept an earlier copy.

If you want to correct who receives the invoice, use Edit billing details. Changing a period or removing a service does not, on its own, correct the tax recipient.
