Kit Digital: how to use the voucher with a digitalising agent
The Kit Digital programme funds the adoption of certain digitalisation solutions through a voucher. The status of the calls and their deadlines can change, so they must be checked on the official website and in the grant decision that applies to each beneficiary.
If you have already been granted the voucher, check the amount, the notification date and the period available to formalise the service agreements in the decision. Do not apply the deadline of another call, and do not assume the voucher is still available without checking that date.
Choose an eligible solution
The solution must belong to one of the Kit Digital categories and meet the requirements of the relevant call.
Already having a website, an online shop or a similar tool does not automatically rule out a category. The voucher can be used to replace an existing solution when there is a functional improvement that meets the rules. It is the digitalising agent who must define the scope and justify that the solution meets the requirements.
Work with an approved digitalising agent
The voucher is used by formalising one or more agreements with an Agente Digitalizador Adherido (approved digitalising agent). The agent implements the solution and submits the justification, although the beneficiary company remains responsible for the data and the implementation being correct.
Check the official catalogue of digitalising agents and filter by the category you need. You do not have to choose the nearest agent: compare the scope, support, included maintenance and experience with the type of project.
What Hostsuar provides
Hostsuar provides the web hosting, domains and technical platform a solution can run on, but it is not an Agente Digitalizador Adherido and does not formalise or justify Kit Digital agreements.
Having a voucher does not automatically cover the cost of hosting or a domain. It must be part of a solution and an agreement that allows that expense under the applicable rules. Confirm this with the agent before ordering or renewing services for the project.
Before going ahead, give the agent the grant decision and confirm in writing which part of the project, which period and which services will be included in the agreement.
When the period included in the solution ends
Ask the agent for a breakdown of what will keep running and what it costs: hosting, domain, maintenance, licences and support may renew at different times. Confirm who controls the domain, where the backups are and how to recover access to the website.
If you decide to keep the project at Hostsuar, check which services you already have before ordering others. If the person or company responsible for the hosting changes, you can transfer the service between client accounts when it meets the conditions. That transfer does not on its own change the obligations of the agreement with the agent.
