Access your email through webmail and use Roundcube

Reviewed on 3 min read webmail Roundcube

Webmail lets you read, send and organise your email from the browser. On our hosting you can use Roundcube, without installing an application on your computer.

Log in from the client area

This route is for whoever manages the hosting:

  1. Log in to the client area.
  2. Open Hosting > Manage on the relevant service and click Open cPanel.
  3. Go to Email Accounts and find the mailbox.
  4. Click Check Email. If the webmail options page appears, open Roundcube.

Check the mailbox address before sending a message, especially if you manage several accounts.

Log in directly with the mailbox details

If you only use one email account, you don't need the hosting owner's credentials. You can open the service's webmail access, for example:

https://yourdomain.com/webmail

Replace the domain with the service's domain. As the username, type the full email address and use that mailbox's password.

If the domain's website is hosted with another provider, that path may not take you to your Hostsuar email. Ask the hosting administrator for the correct address.

If it won't load from your company network or public Wi-Fi

The /webmail address takes you to port 2096, which some corporate networks, hotels and public Wi-Fi networks block. In that case the page never loads. Use this other address instead, which uses the normal browsing port:

https://webmail.yourdomain.com

The login details are the same: the full email address and its password.

Once you are in

In Roundcube you can open the inbox, write a message, reply and organise messages into folders. To test a new account, send a message to an external address and reply from it.

Changes are made to the mailbox on the server. If you delete a message from webmail, the change may also show on devices that use IMAP. Log out when you finish, especially on a shared computer.

If you can't log in

  • Incorrect password: check that you are using the full address and the mailbox password. See how to change it if you have forgotten it.
  • The mailbox doesn't appear in cPanel: make sure you are in the right hosting account and that the email isn't with an external provider.
  • You can log in but don't receive messages: access and delivery are separate checks. Check disk space, MX and email routing.

If you need help, tell us the affected address, the time and the error that appears, without including the password.
