Available data centres

Reviewed on 2 min read centros de datos hosting

Our main infrastructure is in Amsterdam (Netherlands), in a Leaseweb data centre. It's the location we use for the published plans and for projects in Spain and Europe.

Backups are stored on servers separate from your hosting server, within the same Amsterdam data centre.

If you need a specific location

Tell us the requirement before you order: country, region of your visitors and whether it applies only to the web server or also to other services in the project. The fact that the data centre provider has a presence in other countries doesn't mean those locations are available on your plan.

If you need to prove the location or characteristics of the infrastructure for a contract, request the information for the specific service. We don't hold Spain's National Security Framework (ENS) certification. Don't infer the location of databases, backups, external email or CDN solely from the website's public IP.

How it affects the website's response

Distance matters, but so do the visitor's access network and the route between operators. A closer server doesn't by itself guarantee a faster website.

To assess a project, measure from your users' regions and networks and separate network time from the time the application takes to generate the page. Database queries, external APIs, images and caching also play a part.

If you contact us about slowness, tell us the location you are testing from, the URL and the time. With that information we can tell a routing problem apart from a problem with the website itself.
