Am I the owner of the domain?

If you are listed as the registrant, you keep the contractual rights to use and manage the domain for the registered period. A domain is not absolute or permanent property: whether you keep it depends on renewal and on the policies of the extension.

Hostsuar sets no additional restrictions on keeping the domain, but transferring and managing it may be subject to temporary locks, disputes, expiry and registry policies. From the panel you can manage, where the extension allows it, the nameservers, contact details, redirects and other options.

Check who is listed as the registrant

Open Domains > Manage > Registrant details (whois) and review the registrant contact. Paying an invoice, managing the hosting or appearing as the technical contact does not necessarily mean you are the registrant on record.

If you need to prove it, confirm which document the recipient is asking for and see the Hostsuar proof of ownership or the official certificate for the extension.

If the details are not what you expected

Tell a contact error apart from a change of registrant person or company. Don't replace identities without reviewing the procedure and the authorisations required. For a .es domain, a transfer of ownership through Red.es may be needed.

Keep a contact address you control and check who handles the renewal. Privacy on a public lookup does not show that you have lost the domain, but it doesn't replace that review of the registry details either.
