What to do about «Please Verify Contact Data for your Domain Name(s)»
An email with the subject Important Notice: Please Verify Contact Data for your Domain Name(s) may be the registrar's annual reminder to review a domain's details. ICANN's Registration Data Reminder Policy requires registrars to remind the holder to keep their details correct.
Review the information
Go to the client area through an address you know and check the holder and contact details. If the message is only that reminder and the details are correct, you do not need to change them or reply.
If there is an error, correct it with the provider that manages the domain and deal with any confirmations that follow. The wording or language of the notice may vary; a similar subject alone does not prove that the email is genuine.
Tell it apart from a mandatory verification
A request to validate the email, an incorrect-details issue or a pending ICANN verification suspension may require action and have a deadline. Do not dismiss it as the annual reminder: check the notice on the domain's page and, if it applies, follow the holder verification guide.
This reminder is not an invoice or a transfer request. You do not need to send passwords, an Auth-code or card details to review the contacts.
